My husband purchased the Deluxe Scrabble game because, after playing every day for over 15 years our old Scrabble game was beginning to wear out. When he lifted the new game from the box about 50 ball bearings fell out of the part that allows the game to revolve. They bounced all over the floor. No one had bothered to plug the hole. These metal bearings would be DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN.The "Faux Ivory" letter pieces are just white plastic, not as nice as the wooden ones in our old, less expensive set. When I reached inside the bag, I said "J" because I could feel the outline of the letter.The top of the board is made of paper which looks like it will wear out very quickly. Our cheaper set is paper protected by clear plastic so it doesn't scratch, stain, or wear out.It is obvious by the poor workmanship that this product was not made in the USA.Scrabble is an enduring, educational and endlessly challenging game. It does not have to be"Faux Deluxe" or overpriced to be worthwhile. We are returning it.

I bought this for my daughter's 6th birthday even though the box says 8 and up. We played as a family, and everyone enjoyed it! My daughter does not collect American Girl stuff - doesn't even know what it is - but this game has nothing to do with the dolls. It really makes you think about the people you play with, and you learn a lot about them! My sons ages 9 and 12 had fun playing, too. As far as durability - we've only had it a month, but I worry that the diary keys will break off in the lock. The diaries are kind of flimsy plastic, too. But there are a ton of wish cards, and blank ones to make your own, so you can play many times without repeats! You could actually play with cards only. Great game!

We'd played the normal Blokus with friends, so when I saw this come out, I had to get it. Very fun & challenging game! We enjoy playing it very much!

A little complicated so read the rules before you tell the kidsyou're going to play :) There's no really deep strategy, butit's not trivial or boring - so it's a fun game where everybodyhas a chance to win. Good Harry Potter feel to it.

I love this Harry Potter chess set. I saw other reviews complaining about how the gold paint was applied but my set is perfectly painted.It's suppose to look vintage and used. Some of the pieces do have vunerable parts to them so you need to be careful on handlingthem. This is not a toy for small children. The chess board that comes with it is perfect. Some of the reviews said how fragile it is. Well I only use it for the game of chess and it's strong for doing that but I doubt it would hold a potted plant without breaking so if you only use it forholding the game pieces it will last a life time. The details are amazing. Each chess piece is made with multiple castings so you geta lot of detail behind, let's say, the saddle of the knight. It took a long time to put each piece together. The pieces lookexactly like the larger pieces (only smaller) in the Harry Potter movie but the chess board does not. The pieces are in their packaging very tight so you need a lot of care getting them out. The pieces look to me like a blend of die casting and plastic and they all have a nice weight to them. One review said that the knight was too big for the game board but my knight fits perfectly on the game board that I got.

My little daughter was very excited to get this toy, had been waiting every day for our Mailwoman to deliver it. She liked it a lot but when I was signing up for the website for her, I saw that they had put a sticker on the website instructions that changed the "free membership" for the premium parts of the website from one YEAR to one MONTH! Really! First of all, the toy never mentioned in the description that the website it accessed required a monthly fee of about 6 bucks to access the "premium" membership that makes the site usable with the accessories and things that you just bought! What a rip off! You buy the stuff and then can't use it unless you pony up for a monthly membership! Without the "premium" membership the website is basically unusable and lame. I won't be buying any more of these rip-off products Barbie/Disney.

my family and i are huge friends fans but after moving from one place to the next we have lost many dvd's and such. so i bought this for my sister in law this christmas, we love it! the trivia is fun and the game is set up great. i enjoyed every minute of playing it!

I never played the original, so had no idea what I was getting into.This is a great party game! It sets up quick, toss on the headset, put the ear lobe adapter on, and you're ready to go. The practice and single player modes for this are ok, but the dueling mode is where this game really shines.We had a really good time just playing push back and forth, and it's hilarious watching the faces people make to concentrate. Some squint, some strain, and then you end up laughing at the other person, lose your concentration, and they start winning so you have to get back into it. There's a whole strategy to just distracting the other person. And it's not just for the 2 people playing. Everyone else has a good time watching, laughing, etc. And it's a good game for taking turns (we do next up plays winner).Overall, if you're looking for a good goofy social game where everyone can laugh and look goofy, this is a great choice.

I think this is more of a biofeedback machine than any sort of game. You only control how high the ball rises and lowers (the pressure of the air stream). Moving it around the ring and through the obstacles is done by turning the knob on the base. Takes a ton of batteries, makes a lot of noise, and some times seems more off in it's readings than it's on. Seems to work backwards for a friend of mine (concentrating lowers the ball instead of raising it). Interesting for about 30 minutes and you probably won't use it again. Lots of small and fragile plastic parts for the obstacle course. The different "games" aren't really all that different. Worth about $30 rather than the $80 they want for it.

This game is Fun & Challenging for the whole family. We got it for our middle school daughter for Christmas. Lots of fun for kids of any age, from elementary schoolers to grandparents!

Bought this for my son's bday. On day 1, 1 pc fell from the coffee table to the floor (~12") and the head broke. Day 2, 2 more pcs fell and broke. Day 3 returned it for my money back. I do not recommend.

While the concept may be good, it simply does not work. When installing the software on Max OS X 10.6, it updates twice (good), then prompts for registration. The registration cannot be completed, giving an Error 3, -9807 when attempting to submit the registration. We get the Error 3, -9807 with the firewall on or off on the Mac. No tech support was available on the Mattel site, and numerous other customers report the same thing on the uCreate Message boards.Currently on hold with technical support for Radica / Mattel.Any childs toy that requires technical support, Wireshark and a Network Engineer to get working is a fail.
